The company requested authorization to conduct new tests from the Spanish Drug Agency
The PVT-COVID treatment by Seville’s biotechnology and medicine company PlusVitech could accelerate up to 200% the recovery of Covid 19 patients thanks to a new drug already available in hospital pharmacies. To do that, the company uses results published by Vanda Pharmaceuticals, Washington-based company conducting clinical trials using a treatment similar to that proposed by PlusVitech.
PlusVitech is currently involved in an investment round aimed to funding this clinical tria and obtain additional resources for a startup to cover costs associated to research efforts. The company recently informed that, although results remained preliminary, they were very promising due to their effectiveness in treating Covid-19 patients in advanced stages.
