Alantra has entered the shareholding of Huelva-based Surexport, one of the main berry producers in Spain, with the aim to strengthen their growth plan. Founded in Huelva in 1994, Surexport has always specialized in the supply of top-quality berries to the main European distribution chains, mainly in the United Kingdom, Germany, Central Europe, Netherlands and Spain.
The financial and strategic support of Alantra will boost business plan implementation by Surexport, which will have new opportunities to grow in a highly fragmented market with the aim to establish itself as a global industry leader. With over 25 years of experience, Alantra has invested around €1.4 million in over 80 companies with an interesting growth, consolidation plans and internationalization strategies, mainly within the mid-sized Iberian market.
